


About Kimberly Suraj
Kimberly Suraj, the founder of Dragonfly Nutrition, developed a passion for health and fitness at a young age. Her interest in nutrition and healthy eating grew as she witnessed her grandmother's battle with Type 1 Diabetes, which motivated her to pursue a career in Nutrition and Dietetics.
Kimberly holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics, a post-graduate diploma in Institutional Community Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of the West Indies in Trinidad and Tobago, and a post-graduate Diabetes Educator Certificate from The Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences in Canada.
She specializes in providing medical nutrition therapy for chronic diseases such as diabetes and heart disease, as well as managing ketogenic diets for children with epilepsy.
Kimberly is registered with The Council for Health Professionals Related to Medicine, holding Registration Number 676.
She offers a range of services, including corporate health, house visits, and virtual consultations. Her expertise extends to digestive health and wellness. Additionally, Kimberly has contributed nutrition education articles to various publications and has worked in diverse roles as a Registered Dietitian (RD) in areas such as cardiology, pediatrics, medicine, surgery, intensive care, eating disorders, oncology, and diabetes units.
Experience:
- Served as National Dietitian at the Diabetes Association of Trinidad & Tobago from 2014 to 2017
- Held the position of Board Member at the Nutritionist and Dietitians Board Trinidad & Tobago from 2015 to 2018
- Acted as Treasurer for the Trinidad & Tobago Association of Nutritionists and Dietitians (TTANDi) during 2015-2016
